The Kobo Aura is a pretty good e-book style table with a fairly cool Linux based user interface, small but not too small, and light. The screen is e-ink based so it is legible but low-contrast. It supports adding third party books, and supports many formats, and even has a web browser. Unfortunately trhe functionality of the both the local and online books catalogs is something I really dislike, suited only for small numbers (up to a dozen or two) of books, which especially for the online catalog is way too low. Unfortunately this means that browsing for books to rent is very inefficient. The books rented from the Kobo shop are subject to high levels of copyright management, which makes them poor value compared to a printed book.

AdLens makes some relatively cheap spectables with lenses with variable power. They work fairly well but are flimsy and have a very narrow field of view.

The magazine "Blogosphere" is a printed illustrated magazines about blog authors, mostly of blogs probably of interest to affluent thirty-ish women, and it looks like a women's magazine. The printed format works well, and the content can be considered interesting.

The bq Acquaris M4.5 is a very good value midrange "smart" cellphone, with excellent components, two SIM slows, and only a few limitations.

Ubuntu for cellphones works pretty well, it is a nice user interface, but it has few applications and is quite slow. But it gets regular security updates.

Safety can openers cut away can lids leaving dull edges on both the can and the lid, instead of the sharp edges on which it is fairly easy to cut. I have tried models from DKB Zyliss, KUHN RIKON and HeyLR and they are all good.
